The best time to visit Lido Key, Longboat Key, and St. Armands Circle is spring. The temperature ranges from the mid-70s to the high-80s between March and April, creating the perfect environment for beachgoers. Sunny, cloudless skies enhance the crystal clear Gulf waters and make for fantastic sunbathing opportunities on the stunning sugar-white sand beaches. There is also very little rain at this time of the year. This makes it easy to enjoy the vast array of outdoor activities like biking, fishing, and swimming without having to worry about the forecast.

For us locals, it is our favorite time of year here. Book your trip in October or November for average temperatures in the 80s, relatively small crowds and a handful of fun festivals. The Sarasota Oktoberfest, Sarasota Medieval Fair, and the Sarasota Chalk Festival are popular with visitors and locals alike.
Winter
Most people think of winter in Florida as snowbird season, but if you enjoy mild temperatures, it’s the best time to visit Lido Key, Longboat Key, and St. Armands Circle. In addition to enjoying our Gulf beaches, you can explore the many shops, entertainment opportunities, and restaurants around town. Try downtown Sarasota or one of the waterfront dining options on Longboat Key for an exceptional experience. The only downfall to visiting this time of the year is the increased population.
