Meet The Staff
Locally owned and managed since 1994, Florida Vacation Connection offers approximately 200 vacation rentals and is owned and managed by Michele Knuese, President and Jan Jordan, Vice President. Michele and Jan are involved in the day-to-day operation of the company and deliver a "Hand's On" approach. We are readily available to property owners, rental guests and employees.
Michele Knuese, President, has been in the vacation rental business on Longboat Key since 1987. Prior to opening Florida Vacation Connection she was the manager of a large rental division on Longboat Key. She served on the Board of Directors of the Longboat Key Chamber of Commerce for nine years and served as Chairman of the Board for two years.
Jan Jordan, Vice President, has eighteen years experience in the vacation rental industry. Jan is an active member of the Longboat Key Chamber of Commerce.
Our Team
To ensure guest satisfaction and well-maintained properties, our team consists of vacation rental experts in two fields: Reservations / Front Office and Property Management / Back Office. We appreciate our employees and enjoy a low turnover rate. These professionals project a positive impression with their experience, education, excellent manners and extensive knowledge of our properties.
Due to the small-to-medium size of our company and our defined boundaries of Longboat Key and Lido Key, we pride ourselves in knowing our properties and giving personal attention to owners and guests. Owner and guest concerns are given the utmost priority.
Each team member works to build a positive relationship with guests, which in turn, encourages them to rent from us again. We build a level of trust with our guests. They know that they can count on our team whether they are inquiring about the details of a specific property or if they are experiencing a maintenance problem with their vacation rental. Due to the relationships formed and the trust placed in us, we are proud to announce that over 99% of our guests state they will rent from us again!
Dallas Lee Green, Reservations. Dallas has been with our company since 2000 and has over twenty-two years experience in vacation rentals and property management on Longboat Key. Dallas specializes in new listings, reservations and tour operator bookings.
Sue Jablonkai, Reservations. Sue has been with our company since 1999 and specializes in guest reservations, website photography and property promotional materials. Sue also responds to our ever-increasing online rental inquiries and online bookings.
Dan Franz, Maintenance Manager. Dan has been with our company since 2005 and is always on the go, in and out of properties. Dan is responsible for in-house maintenance and repairs and coordinating outside service vendors.
Cindy Steiner, Front Desk and Bookkeeping. Cindy has been with our company since 2004 and has been in the travel industry for over twenty-three years. Cindy brings her hospitality to and coordinates the Front Desk. Cindy is also responsible for bi-monthly owner statements, sales tax reporting, guest accounts and vendor accounts.
Heather Hagen, Housekeeping Manager. Heather has over 8 years experience in the hospitality industry, with majority of her education and experience in housekeeping management. Heather is responsible for the housekeeping operation and for maintaining the properties. She ensures all properties meet our high standards through meticulous inspections before and after guests and owners, detailed inventories and property assessments.
